Remove Category from 1 post

    Hey guys,

    I am not a coder but I am trying to remove the category from a single post on my website… All the solutions I have found on the web seem to remove ALL categories from your website using permalinks. I just need it for the one page and only temporarily, so i dont want to make all these changes to my permalinks for a post I just want to change back the next day.

    Example of what I want to do:

    yourdomain.com/category/yourpost.html >>>> yourdomain.com/yourpost.html

    How can I do this?

    I suppose you cannot do that here on WordPress.COM.

    Hi Luke,

    It’s not possible to change the permalink structure on WordPress.com — this is a feature of self hosted WordPress.org sites:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    The slug is the only part of the URL that can be customised:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/slugs/

    There are no sites in the account you are logged in to, what is the URL of the site you are working on?
