Remove comment and file name from galleries

  Hi,

  When I click on a photo in any one of the galleries in my site, it opens to slideshow. How can I:

  a) Hide the comment box which can be seen on the bottom right hand corner of any picture?
  b) Hide the file name of the picture that can be seen on the bottom left hand corner?
  I want to apply this to all galleries.

  Hi @hariscoussidis,

  a) Hide the comment box which can be seen on the bottom right-hand corner of any picture?

  There is one way to not have a comment box for a new post.
  Go to Settings —> Discussion Settings —> Default Article Settings —> uncheck the box that says, “Allow people to post comments on new articles” —> Save.

  Add a gallery with newly uploaded images. Now if you want to have comments for a blog post, you can set it for an individual post with Document Setting in the editor.

  Note: Above solution will not work for already uploaded images.

  Or with the help code, put below CSS in to My Sites > Customise > Additional CSS

  jp-carousel-buttons {
      display: none;
  }

  b) Hide the file name of the picture that can be seen on the bottom left hand corner?

  .jp-carousel-titleanddesc-title {
         display: none;
  }

  Many thanks for this. just to clarify, in order not to have the comment box displayed on the gallery carousel, I would need to uncheck the box that says, “Allow people to post comments on new articles”, then upload the pictures?

  So I would need to unload then reload all the pictures in my media library for it work? The

  Yes that’s true. You have to unload them and reload
