Remove comment box–no CSS

  Hi All,

  I’m trying to remove the comments boxes from all of my pages, but it’s not simple like it used to be (where’d the simple box to check/uncheck go?).

  I make my sites online, no CSS code to upload/download, and I don’t know how to do that.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Hi there,

  Go to Settings>Discussion on your dashboard and uncheck the third box from the top. Then scroll down to the bottom and click save. that should remove the comment box from your future posts and pages.

  To remove the comments from existing posts and pages I’m afraid you’ll have to do it a page/post at a time.

  Go to the Posts>all posts page and click “quick edit” under each post. Uncheck the “allow comments” button and click update.

  To remove the comments from pages, follow the same procedure on the pages tab.

  Thanks! That did it. I’m not sure why I couldn’t find the “Allow Comments” box before…

  There are a lot of menus and a lot of options–it’s completely understandable that one might lose track of which checkbox is where ;)

  I’m glad to hear it all worked out.
