remove comment form from static pages

  how can i remove the comment form from pages

  Edit the page and uncheck the “Allow comments” field, then click save.

  There is only a check box for likes and shares. Is the “allow comments” box hiding somewhere?

  Click on “Screen Options” in the top right hand corner and make sure “Discussion” is checked.
