Remove comment option on pages…not blog
-
I am having a problem finding where I can delete the comment option on my pages, About & Contact. I can’t seem to find where I can remove it by code. “Discussions” will remove it from my blog and I don’t want to do that.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All WordPress.com blogs by default have comments open on all pages and posts. This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/ -
I was able to to turn off comments on an existing page this way. But it leaves this at the bottom of the page:
Comments are closed.
Is there a way of suppressing the “Comments are closed” line, which is superfluous.
Thanks,
doug

There is no way to suppress the display. You can purchase a custom design upgrade and use CSS editing to remove or hide it.
