Remove Comments and Footer from Manifest

I’m using Manifest for a site I’m doing for a book. I want it to be super duper clean.

I’ve removed (more like hidden) a lot of the “stuff” but I’m wanting to get rid of everything non-essential: the comments box on pages, the links in the footer.

Anyone know how to get rid of a comments box?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please search the support docs and the forum before asking questions: your questions have been answered many times.

    a) For already published posts/pages, you disable the comment box by editing those posts/pages and unchecking the two options in the Discussion module; if you’re not seeing the Discussion module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to activate it. For future posts/pages, you disable the comment box in advance by unchecking the same two options in Settings > Discussion.

    b) WP doesn’t allow hiding the footer credits.
