remove date stamps from posts

  Hi,
  I’ve just signed up with wordpress for a free website – I’m still in the process of building it. I want it to be primarily a website and not a blog (although there will be a blog page) and so I do not want an automatic date stamp on everything I write or image I add. Please help.

  Hi Priya

  I order to add custom CSS to your site you will need to upgrade to the Premium Plan. You need to be on the WordPress.com Premium Plan for custom CSS to save. You can only preview custom CSS on the free plan.

  We could then use custom CSS to remote the date stamps from your posts.

  Your other option would be to find a free theme that does not display the date stamp by default.

  Thanks g471n ….. frankly, I have tried so many themes in the hope of finding at least one without the date stamp that I am ready to give up. I will just go ahead with something other than wordpress for my site – i didn’t realize this is mainly for blogs and not for websites. Thanks again for your help,

  You can certainly build a website using WordPress.com, the Premium Plan will give you more options and control of your site.
