Remove "Default Post Category"

  Hello:

  I’m trying to clean up both my “categories” and “tags” but noticed that I cannot delete the “Default Post Category”.

  I want to take advantage of the “Display Related Posts” feature to certain themes. I’m currently using the Premium Theme: Opti.

  But in order to speed up the process, I would like the ability to remove the “Default Post Category”.

  Currently, I am using the “Quick Edit” feature to each affected “posts” and un-clicking the “Default Post Category” so that only one “category” is assigned.

  My ultimate goal is to assign each post to commonly used “tags” without the “Default Post Category” conflicting with the “Display Related Posts” feature.

  Could y’all please implement a “workable solution”?
