Remove domain

  Hi! I need to remove my domain from WordPress so I can bring it somewhere else. How do I do that?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  Since your domain is not registered with us, you just need to remove the domain connection upgrade from your account purchases page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  You would need to log into your GoDaddy account (where your domain is registered) if you need to make any changes to your domain nameservers to point to your new hosting account.

  How long does it take for the connection to be removed? I removed mine but my domain is still pointing to a broken wordpress link.

  Hi @theabcdefg

  You’ve removed the domain connection from our end, but the domain still has the WordPress.com IPs on your domain registrar. You will need to change the IPs so that the domain points to your new host. Please contact your domain registrar (where you registered your domain), and they can help you with that.
