Hello, I have the same problem / request.

Please remove domain mapping for https://yourbrainondating.com from my wordpress account.

I will need the domain available for a new server that I’ve setup on a different host.

    Best Regards

The blog I need help with is yourbrainondating.wordpress.com.

  • Can all of you go to http://wordpress.com/purchases and remove the domain mapping from there? It’s something you should be able to do it yourself. :)

If you cannot, can you please post with the specific error that occurs when you try?

    Hello!

As it turns out, I actually needed the domain mapping afterall – to redirect users entering my company’s old blog to the new one (same domain, different host). So all is well in my end.

Thanks for the help, WordPress.com team. Got good answers, just didn’t understand what I was doing. Now I do.

Hi, I’ve cancelled domain mapping for my main blog:
    rosebfischer.com (free site rosebfischer.wordpress.com)

but the rosebfischer.com url is still redirecting to wordpress.com.

It’s preventing me from logging in to my new site’s admin panel.

How do I correct this or can wordpress staff do anything?

  • @rosebfischer

I am not seeing rosebfischer.com point to WordPress.com. It points to a MOJO landing page.

You might try clearing your browser cache. Also, if you have recently made DNS changes to your domain name (nameservers, a-records, etc) it can be up to 72 hours before those take effect across the internet.

My domain was working on the new site earlier today. Now I’m getting this error message instructing me to log in to wordpress:

Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

I changed the namesevers a week ago, so there shouldn’t be an issue with that, removed domain mapping yesterday. Have cleared my cache at least 5 times today. Is there something I’m missing?

Hello, I purchased a domain mapping to http://www.nimahejazi.com in the past. Since then, I have deleted my WordPress blog and would like to use that domain to re-direct to a different site. Nothing is showing in my purchases — could someone assist with this?

  • @rosebfischer

I am seeing rosebfischer.com point to your self hosted site. You may need to talk to your webhost or registrar, as the situation is completely our of our hands at this point.

  • @nhejazi7

You canceled that domain on Feb 18th. I can try and reverse the cancellation. I will let you know if I am successful, it typically takes 12-48 hours.

If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration. Then you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  • @nhejazi7

I have sent you an email to the address associated with your WordPress.com account. Please let me know if you did not receive it.

(Sorry for the double post, I wrote it first into the wrong topic)

  • @bobgrun

The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that domain mapping upgrade.

So you must have ended up with a second WordPress.com account at some point. You will need to log into the other account in order to cancel the upgrade.

However, as it is just a domain Mapping upgrade, you do not really need to do anything on our end if you want to use the domain at a new server. Just log into your registrar and set the domain’s nameservers to point to your new webhost. That will bypass WordPress.com completely.

I am not seeing any active Domain Mapping upgrade associated with the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from. They have all been canceled.

    Hello,

Please remove domain mapping for voxy.com from my wordpress account. It was a mistake.

  • @runtworkshop

I have canceled the upgrade and processed that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

  • NOTE TO EVERYONE:

It is important to understand that you do not NEED to cancel a domain mapping upgrade at WordPress.com in order for your domain to be pointed to another webhost. Just log into your registrar and set the domain’s nameservers to point to your new webhost. That will bypass WordPress.com completely.
