remove domain mapping

Please assist me in removing the domain mapping from my profile. I have would like to move to a selfhosted version of wordpress. I also need all pointing removed.

It looks like you’ve already removed the domain mapping upgrade.
As for the domain pointing to us, the name servers need to be updated at your domain registrar, i.e. where you bought the domain. We have no control over that.

Thank you for the response. However when i visit the domain i still see the following. “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”

Yes. That is because your domain still has WordPress.com name servers so if you type the domain in your browser, your registrar is telling the browser to come look for the site with us.
You need to contact your registrar, the company where you bought the domain, and ask them to change the name servers to whoever is hosting your site now. Your registrar, tucowdomains.com. Please contact them to update your name servers, and the domain will stop pointing to us.

As far as i know the domain was purchased through https://afrihost.com, im not sure who tucowdomains.com??

okay i have just got some feedback, please advise if there is a 60 day hold on the transfer of this domain and when that 60 days will come to an end. your assistance is highly appreciated.

Then you need to contact them to point the domain away from us.
This is not a domain transfer. A domain transfer is if you buy a domain with one registrar and then move it to a different registrar. Your domain hasn’t moved anywhere.
After you bought it from Afrihost, you bought a mapping upgrade here and you changed the domain’s name servers to point to us.
Now you have removed the mapping upgrade, but the name servers are still pointing to us. The only place where you can change the name servers is at the registrar where you bought the domain.
Contact Afrihost support and tell them that you want to point the name servers to whoever is hosting your site now. Then the domain will stop trying to connect to WordPress.com
