Remove Domain Mapping
-
I would like to remove the mapping of saylorlab.com to arbiteranon.com so that I can use the domain for a different site.
Thanks.

STAFF EDITALERT TO EVERYONE READING THIS THREAD:
——————-You do not have to remove Domain Mapping to use your domain with a new webhost. You just need to log into your domain registrar and modify the DNS to point to your new webhost. This will completely bypass WordPress.com and all traffic to your domain will be pointed to your new website.
HOWEVER, do keep in mind that it can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency.
You can, of course, cancel your Domain Mapping upgrade if you like. If you have moved to a hosted WordPress.org site, there is no reason to keep paying for WordPress.com upgrades. You can cancel upgrades here:

Are you moving it to a different site on WordPress.com? Or a different site with another webhost?

Same question here. The question is simple. In WordPress.com settings, the “mapping” we create. How should we remove this and add another one, for rmjust modify it? Neither of these options seem to be available. Only option is to add another domain mapping which is additional 13 bucks a year. What gives? How to edit or remove a paid-for mapping?

If you would like to switch your mapping upgrade to use a different domain, staff can make that switch for you. If you post here and let me know what domain you would like to use, I can do it for you.

I am seeing http://www.ventureminded.com/ point correctly to your GoDaddy hosted site.
It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency.

I am seeing sprytniej.pl point to sprytniejblog.wordpress.com. So it looks like you have gotten this sorted out. Please let me know if this is not the case.

I would like to remove mapping “mtefre.no”, please.
It’s not active, but it doesn’t seem to be a way to dismiss it either. -

Also, your browser may be looking at a cached version of the page. You can try either clearing your cache, using a different browser, or loading the page and then holding the shift key while you click reload/refresh.

rootjosh: Thanks for answering, but my point is I would like to remove the domain mapping. It was a mistake! But there doesn’t seem to be an option to revert it.

The instructions here should allow you to cancel and refund your WordPress.com upgrades (including Domain Mapping).
Please let me know if you have any trouble.

Thank you, but it really didn’t give me an answer. Why can’t I keep the plan and just cancel domain mapping?
