  Hi! Same here, please I’d like to remove lakecomofilmfestival.com from lcffprova.wordpress.com and ripristinate the DNS.

  I purchased a domain a few years back. I tried to add it to my wordpress site. Now, I can’t get to my wordpress site for my school project. The domain is on a host (Brinkster) who has indicated they do not have wordpress site. I am at a loss. At this point I want to remove the mapped domain completely. The wordpress site is the primary, but when you try to go to it by the url it brings you to the domain site which is blank. What is the best course of action?

  Hi! I have two domains that I would like that are currently mapped to one WordPress site I have on my account, and I would instead like to map them to the other WordPress site on my account. The domain are makeupfreemay.com and makeupfreemap.org that are currently mapped to iamhumanproject.com. I would like them mapped to makeupfreemay.wordpress.com instead. How do I do this?? I’ve been searching for answers for over 3 hours and feeling very discouraged! I own all of the domain names in question and still want to use them on WordPress, they’re just linked to the wrong WordPress site right now…

  thanks for your reply! sorry but I found that domain as “mapped domain” in domains tab and I’d like to remove it.

  makeupfreemay – Here’s what I can see on your account.

  makeupfreemay.org is mapped to betheinspirationdotorg.wordpress.com. There are not any other domains mapped to that user account. I can move the mapping over to makeupfreemay.wordpress.com for you.

  marcoopepe – The mapping upgrade is owned by a different user account. Please sign in and post from that account. Then I can help you remove the upgrade. Or you can do it yourself via wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  No problem. I’ve removed the mapping credit for guide.fleetup.us on your Premium Plan and you can now register a new domain as part of the plan or map an existing one. Let me know if you run in to any trouble or have further questions :)

  I too want to remove a domain I brought to wordpress from Yahoo/Aabacco – alanconrad.com.

  Although I’ve had it for years and it served me well, it is registered with a subsidiary of Yahoo/Aabacco and every time I need to do a DNS fix or something else, it’s very difficult to get through their hoops, some days impossible.

  So I switched my primary WordPress domain to alanconrad.wordpress.com, making alanconrad.com secondary. I also cancelled my ownership of alanconrad.com. I may try to buy it back one day, but for the time being I want to see how the site performs as is.

  It seemed to be working, but this week I got a DNS fix notice and visits to the blog/site seem to have dropped 90%. I want to remove alanconrad.com from the WordPress domains to see if that will help, but I can’t find any way to do this.

  Do you have any advice?

  When alanconrad.com was connected to alanconrad.wordpress.com the visitors for it were automatically be forwarded on to your primary domain (which was set as your free site address).

  Deleting that domain could affect your traffic since it was registered to you for so long.

  I can help you remove the mapping for alanconrad.com on your account. Before proceeding, please confirm that is what you’d like me to do.
