Remove Domain Mapping from Previous WordPress Website
-
Please remove my domain http://www.sheseessights.com from my previous wordpress account.
I will need the domain available for a new wordpress website, or another host…I haven’t decided yet.
But I’ll need the domain mapping to be removed / deleted as soon as possible so I can move forward with my new content.
The blog I need help with is sheseessightscom.wordpress.com
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

from my previous wordpress account.
Which account is that and why are you not logged in under it, please?
Exactly which username account purchased the upgrade?
Exactly which underlying .wordpress.COM blog was the upgrade purchased for?
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note that when we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you so the domain URL will not be lost.
From the support docs: How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Thank you for your reply!!!
Last night, I deleted my blog in haste, underneath the username SheSeesSights – I’m not logged into it because I deleted it, and I was under the impression that I followed all the necessary steps to avoid these issues but I was wrong.
The upgrade was purchased for sheseessights.wordpress.com, and after I purchased my own domain my blog began using my URL sheseessights.com.
Does this mean I need to recover the account in order to remove the domain mapping?
Thank you very much for replying and protecting my domain URL.

Please do not post into other threads. Please do nothing except subscribing as I described above and waiting patiently for Staff to respond to you here.

Apology not accepted because you are still ignoring me and posting into other threads like this one https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-mapping-940?replies=3#post-2537148

No one is ignoring you I was being polite and responding.
Wow.
I really just want my domain mapping removed so I can move on with my life. Why is this SO hard. Are you a Support member or a volunteer?
I’ve been trying to remedy this situation since last night, and it’s advertised that Support is available 24/7 but I still haven’t received help removing my domain from this website.
I need real help, not reprimands.
-
I’m not the only user frustrated with being *ignored* by support, and posting multiple threads.
This is extremely petty.
Some help from an actual Support Engineer would be lovely.

If you don’t like waiting here where we get answers more quickly than by direct Staff contact, you can increase your wait time by contacting Staff directly, but I don’t recommend that.
There is no phone support.
All support docs are at http://support.wordpress.com
Search for help support options https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=help+support+options
results here Help! Getting WordPress.com Support
https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/If you have a paid upgrade, please use the “Contact Support” form, http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ where you will receive a choice of having staff answer your question publicly or privately.
re: direct email support
Also note, that you can email Staff at:
support@wordpress.com
or
help@wordpress.com -
Hi @sheseessights,
Typically you’ll want to use live chat support instead when you have an upgrade. No worries though: I’ve confirmed your domain is registered through GoDaddy and currently points there. I also noticed you were missing a refund, so I took care of that
Do you need anything else?
-
My mistake.
If my domain mapping has been completely removed from WordPress.com, I don’t have any more requests.
Thank you very much.
