Remove domain without losing content

  I want to change brooklynbooks.me to brooklynbooks.wordpress. I know its’ far too late to get a refund, I just want to be able to automatically renew it without the charge for the private domain.

  And I want to add ‘no ads’ as my chosen upgrade.

  Registered domain names can’t be renamed. However, you can register additional domain names at https://brooklynbooks.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domain-management

  Is:

  brooklynbooks.wordpress.com

  considered a domain?

  If I just don’t renew:

  brooklynbooks.me

  will it go away?

  The address brooklynbooks.wordpress.com is your free WordPress.com domain. The domain you’ve redirects and redirects to that WordPress.com address is: brooklynbooks.me

  If you decide to let brooklynbooks.me expire (which won’t expire until 2014-05-14), you will still keep the WordPress.com address and it’s content.
