Remove follow popup from static web pages
-
wordpress,
I have a static web site with multiple web pages including a page called blog containing my site’s blog. Is there a way to remove the FOLLOW pop up from appearing my static web pages that do not have my blog. I would like the FOLLOW popup to be displayed only on the blog page in my wordpress site. Is this possible to do?
Thanks,The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
The Follow pop up button is only shown to people who are not logged in to their WordPress.com accounts or to people who don’t have WordPress.com accounts. I recreated your website using my test blog and was able to do something similar to what you’d like to happen.
First of all, the Follow pop up button is shown on all of your pages (static or blog) and you can’t choose where it will only show. So it’s like turning it on or off for the whole site.
– What I did was turn off the Follow pop up button through my Settings -> Reading page in WP Admin Dashboard. Yours is found here: https://66mustangconvertible.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
– Scroll down to the Follower Settings section and uncheck the box that says “Show follow button to logged out users.”
– Then click “Save Changes”.Now, you can add the Follow Blog widget which you can set to only show on your blog page.
– Go to your Appearance -> Widgets page here: https://66mustangconvertible.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php.
– Scroll down and click the Follow Blog Widget.
– By default, the Sidebar option is checked, click “Add Widget”.
– Click the “Visibility” button beside “Save”.
– Click the drop-down menu that says “–Select–” and choose “Page”.
– On the drop-down menu beside that, select your blog page, then click “Save”.Here’s more information about the Follow Blog Widget:
