remove follower from a private blog

  Hello, I had a public blog (www.algoproject.wordpress.com) then I switched it to private blog.
  I had many followers but now that I’m private I would like to delete just 2 of those followers (one is an email only follower and one is normal follower).
  I actually don’t find the way.
  Could you kindly tell me how .. or do it for me, please ?

  Once you site is marked Private the only followers you may have are those people you have invited to view your Private site who then sign up to receive updates on your site. No one else will be able to see your site or will receive updates.

  Staff have indicated in the past that they would be willing to remove followers from a site once it is marked Private in order to increase the site owner’s comfort level, so I will tag this for their attention.

  However, you will need to let Staff know what followers should be removed.

  I have a similar issue. In my case, the site has always been private and I have a need to remove followers from time to time but can not seem to do so. Is there a way to remove them that does not require bothering a wordpress “rep”? Thank you.

  You can remove viewers from your private blog following these instructions:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#viewing-and-removing-viewers-from-a-private-blog

  If a site was public at some point and people followed it that way, and you need assistance removing those followers, please let me know.

  Woops. I spoke too soon. My site was never public, or to be specific never had any users other than myself when it was public. All users and followers started after it was made private. I have removed the users using the UI you linked to above but they remain listed as followers via email. This second list is the one I need to modify. Thank you.
