Remove Footer theme attribution
-
Highwind theme footer includes the text: Blog at WordPress.com. | The Highwind Theme
We have the $99 upgrade, shouldn’t we be able to change this to the site’s copyright information. Am not able to locate where this would be done. please advise.
Thanks!

Hi there,
We actually ask that you not remove the footer attribution on your site. Even our customers who use our VIP product still keep the footer credits intact.
We talk about this in our help documents right here:

Let me know if you have any questions!

HI,
I looked, but could not find, instructions of the forum for how to add copyright information to the footer of this site: http://kylemediationservices.wordpress.com/
Can you point me to a place that describes how to do this? I’m familiar with CSS but not how to add actual text using CSS and no HTML.
Thanks.

Hi Barbara,
Sure! This bit of CSS should work for you:
.site-footer:before { content: "All Rights Reserved. Your Company Name Here 0A9 2014"; } -
Hi,
0A9isn’t showing the copyright symbol, neither is©How do I add the symbol?
Thanks!
-
Oh, just pasted in the actual symbol and it works!
Is it really not ok to remove the colophon information? We have the $99 package… and once the client notices it, she will not be happy.
-
Oh, I’m sorry, it didn’t come through the way I had pasted it. I apologize!
And yes, that is really not OK. I understand your client will be upset. If you like, your upgrade is fully refundable for 30 days after purchase. We totally understand if they would prefer to go with a self-hosted solution instead.

Thanks. It is what it is. She is looking for VERY cost-effective and WordPress.com was my suggestion. Hopefully she won’t notice…
Thanks for you help! You can mark this resolved…
