Remove Google Analytics

How do I completely remove google analytics from our wordpress installation?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/ or alternatively contact your hosting provider.
Hope this gets fixed soon!

Hi there,
This would depend on how you added it.
Google Analytics require you to add some code to your site’s headers, so if you modified any site files directly to add it, you’ll need to edit those files again to delete it.
Or if you used a plugin to add that code, you will need to remove that plugin.

We had added the analytics script to the body of the Divi Theme, but removed it.
There is no plugin related to google analytics.
After removing the script, there are still external calls being made to google api and we think it’s also within wordpress.

Hi –
The code must still be in place somewhere in order for those API calls to go out as mentioned. Did you add it through the Jetpack plugin by chance?
To test, simply disable the plugin and see if the calls persist.

No, google analytics is not turned on in jetpack and would actually require an upgrade to enable it, so it’s nevr been “on” in jetpack

Thanks for confirming that it’s not on in Jetpack and has been removed from Divi. Since your site is not hosted on WordPress.com we don’t have access to troubleshoot any further.
I would recommend checking with Elegant Themes, your host, or the WordPress community at https://wordpress.org/support.
