Remove /home from URL – WordPress
-
Hi,
I’m using a directory page as homepage for my site.
Problem is, when I create a child page from the home page (which I have to do to effectively set up the Grid page type layout), the permalink becomes https://visitmyprofile.in/home/wpbdp_category/web-designing-course/ . So even though the static ‘home’ page is displayed as just https://visitmyprofile.in, when you go to a child page the /home/ jumps in there.
Is there a way to remove this? Or any other work arounds?
Thanks!
Srinivas

Hi i7academy
Your site(https://visitmyprofile.in) is using WordPress.org software which is hosted on another host. So WordPress.com forum is not the right place to get the solution for your question.
You can post your question in WordPress.org forum:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/For more information here is the support documentation link below:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress.com forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are both different platforms, you can find more information for this here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Hope this helps you.
