remove "http://[NAME].wordpress.com/" from a page's permalink ?
-
__ Dear WordPress staff & WordPress users,
__ Hi there !
__ I only use “PAGES”, not “ARTICLES”. Is it possible to remove the “http://poesielibre.wordpress.com/” from the permalink, to redirect to a private domain ?
__ For the page “http://poesielibre.wordpress.com/poesie-et-sagesse/” I got the redirection “”http://www.poesie-et-sagesse.poesielibre.fr/” .” : could visitors access this private domain by clicking on the page’s link ?
__ Would another another way to manage the blog make it possible ? Dont want to host html pages on the domain provider’s ftp …
thanks

Is there a way to do something like “http://poesielibre.wordpress.com/=http://http://www.poesielibre.fr ?

On WordPress.com, you can use a custom domain for your blog, such as example.com, instead of the default address you get when you sign up, like example.wordpress.com. This is called Domain Mapping, and it’s a paid upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/

We cannot change permalink structure on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. What’s available is domain mapping.
