remove icon that auto-populates when i share/publish?

    Hey wordpress! Just wondering if there’s a way, when I publish/share to twitter (which auto-posts to Facebook), to make my shared link appear with NO picture icon. If I don’t upload a picture into every post, the share feature will pull a previous picture from something I’ve posted before, so, for example, today I posted a dream I had and the linkbox on Facebook showed up with a completely unrelated picture of cosmetics I posted a month ago. Is there a way to share text-only?
