Remove image from random header rotation without deleting image?
-
I have an image I’d like to remove from the random header rotation. I know I could delete the image from the media library, but I don’t want to do this, because the image is being used as a featured header on some pages. Is there a way to remove the image from the random header rotation without actually deleting the file?
Thanks for any insights …

Aside from deleting the image from your Media Library there is no other way I know of to do this. I tagged this thread for Staff attention because I too have been in the same “pickle” and I’m sure many other bloggers have been too.

One solution would be to upload a second copy of the same image with a slightly different file name.
Re-add the new copy of the image to the posts where you need it as a featured image.
Through the Media Library, remove the original image that you don’t want used as a random header.
Let me know if this would work.
