Remove “like” button in my self-hosted site
-
Hi! Before, I have a wordpress.com site but I have decided to create my first self-hosted blog. Because I still want to get in touch to my friends when I’m still at wordpress.com, I have decided to connect my self-hosted site to my wordpress.com account. But ever since, I really want to remove the “like” button and keep the “comment” box on my reader.
I have read that self-hosted sites connected here do not have “like” button available. That’s what I really want, but whenever I check my feed on the reader, there is still a “like” button appearing on it? My website is https://kcmwrites.com and I connected it here. My concern is I want to remove the “like” button and add a “comment” box (because people can’t comment to my recent posts now). Is this possible? If not, please enlighten me
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Your site’s Reader feed is not your site. You can disable the Like button on your site, either via My Site ->Sharing, or per-post from within the editor.
But the Like button in the Reader cannot be disabled.
In other words, you can control whether or not likes are displayed directly on your site, but people will still be able to like your posts in the WordPress.com Reader itself.

Hi thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I see😞Oh, yes I already know how to remove “like” button on my website, but my concern here is I wnna remove the “like” button on my Reader. But just like what you’ve said, it is not possible. One more thing I would like to ask, many times I’ve seen websites that does not have “like” button on their Reader, how is it possible?
