Remove LInk from Header Image
-
Site: RiderwoodLife.com
Our header image is a bar that is linked back to our home page. We prefer to NOT have a link on the header image. I looked into custom CSS and that did not help. We don’t want to get into editing the theme itself for fear of loosing edit when it’s upgraded, etc.
When I asked on the WP forum, some misinterpreted my question was wanting to change attributes of other entities at the top of our pages. I just want NO LINK on the header image.
Thanks.

I don’t see a header image on your site.
Specifically what on that page are you referring to?

The “banner” is a long, thin, blue bar with a green stripe down the center. It is an image
IF you can not see it, I’ll upload to my personal site to aid in seeing it.
Thanks.

Ah ok, that would be the same as in the reply at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/remove-link-etc-from-header-image/#post-3764835
Even though that reply was was for the site title, it’s the same for the header image.
Links cannot be removed via CSS (without out just removing the whole thing, header image and all).
You would need to directly editing the theme, which is a bit outside the scope of support we can offer here.
For that, I recommend reaching out to the theme’s support at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentytwenty/

Oops: sorry. I mixed up messages and have posted to the theme forum. So I’ll mark this closed. Thanks for the advise.
