remove link from title and words that have no href in code wordpress
-
Although they were correct from the beginning, now for some reason, i have a widget title and a couple of words that are showing as links even though there is no href code attached. They are in the 2nd widget in the right sidebar on this page:
http://www.alvinhealingrooms.org/freeprayerbooth– Title: FIND OUR NEXT EVENT HERE shows as a link and it should not
– Words: ‘Check our’ in the line below the title is not set as a link in the widget but it’s showing as one.I looked at the ‘inspect’ option and i can see the code directing them to a link but i’m in wordpress template and i don’t know how to get to the code to remove just those particular ones… and not sure why it started happening in the first place.
Thanks for any help you can give,

alvinhealingrooms.org is hosted by GoDaddy.com, not by wordpress.com
That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.re: wordpress.org support
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org

However, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service -
Hi there,
These forums only provide support for sites hosted on WordPress.com.
Your site is not hosted here.
If you need help with your self-hosted WordPress site, please try creating a thread on the WordPress.org support forums. You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post; if you don’t already have one, you can register here.
There are 2 versions of WordPress. You can learn about the differences between WordPress.com and self-hosted (WordPress.org) sites at:
*****
The problem on your site is caused by errors in the html that has been added to the text widgets; you don’t need to edit the template. If you post on the WordPress.org support forums, somebody should be able to help you fix the custom html.

Thank you for explaining this to me. I will try again to look for a way to post a question there. I have used them alot in the past for answers, however recently I am having alot of trouble finding the page where you can actually write your question – even after searching for the question on the forum.
If you have a link directly to the page to post a question, that would be a big help. Thank you, Gary.

Thanks to you both, timethief, as well. A link to proper forum to ask questions would be helpful.

I’m multitasking from my business and I do not have either the time or inclination to search the wordpress.org support forums for you. Sorry but I have to log out and meet a ferry now.
