remove logo

I want to remove the logo. It is way too big and I cannot figure out how to reduce the size. I have tried deleting it but it doesn’t work. The logo is no longer in my media file but it still shows up. Since I just started it would be easier to just delete everything and start over. The only thing I want to keep is the address and the theme.

Is it the header image which you are looking to get rid of?
Where it has the text The Leoprosy Project on the left and then the images to the right?If so you should be able to remove it by going to your Dashboard, then Appearance, then Customize.
Then in the right hand menu go to Header. There should then be an option to Hide Image. If you click this, then save in the bottom right, it should then display no header image for you.

Thanks for the advice. The header I was trying to get rid of was a much larger Gif of just the logo. I did try going to Dashboard, Appearance, Customize, Header, but I never saw the option to hide it. I was using the Academic Theme.
I actually ended up changing the theme and that got rid of it. In the theme I am using now I did see the option to hide the header.
