Hi there, I registered a WordPress domain years ago however it expired. I would like to remove the mapping of this as I need to transfer it somewhere else. Can you please remove it from WordPress? Thank you!

Hi there,
That domain was not mapped but rather registered through us. It has expired and is currently in redemption with our registrar. If you want to transfer it to another register I’ll first need to recover it, but our registrar charges an $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

I have emailed a payment request. Please reply back if you have submitted the payment so that we can begin the recovery process.
If we are unable to recover your domain, your payment will be refunded. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired.

Hello fstat, I don’t want to keep the domain with WordPress but you seem to have also charged me for domain renewal. Can you please clarify? How will I transfer it afterwards to Squarespace, for example?
