remove menu at bottom of mobile layout?

    I have a very simple WP setup on a personal WP plan. It contains just 2 pages: a portfolio and an about page.

    I need a little help, this is all new to me and I have very basic question. At the bottom of the mobile layout is popout menu:

    >Sign up / Log in / Copy shortlink ?report this content / Manage subscription

    How do I remove this menu?

    Thank you.

    Sorry, I just noticed this menu is also on the desktop layout. Is this a default menu for WP and can’t be removed? Does it only exist on “Personal Plan” WP sites?

    thanks in advance,

  • Hi, I’m actually not seeing that — could you get a screenshot and upload it to your media library, then update us here?

    Hi Supernovia

    Here’s the link to screenshot. It’s the 3-dot “kebab” style menu in the bottom right. It’s on both the desktop and the mobile layout. Can this be removed?

    And while I’m here I do have another question, I am using the Mayland theme. On the mobile layout, the nav menu is a black button with “Menu+”, with a wordpress.com site can I customize this, even a hamburger style might be better.

    Be safe, be well and thank you,

  • Ah, you’re referring to the action bar that appears at the bottom right.

    That can only be removed via CSS which is a feature that is a part of the Premium and Business Plans:

    http://wordpress.com/plans.

    If you decide to upgrade your plan, you can use this snippet to remove the action bar menu:

    #actionbar {
    	visibility: hidden;
    }

    Thanks,

    Thanks that did the trick!

    I’ve upgraded to premium and your snippet fixed the problem.
