remove meta box from static home page
-
Hi there,
I want to remove the meta box (and if possible, the archive box) from my home page but I can’t figure out how. Here’s a link so you can see it:
https://akammancfp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2Fthemes.phpI went to the widgets page and it’s not listed in the sidebar. I think it’s part of the theme, which is Superhero, but my friend is using that theme and she was able to remove the box (but can’t remember how!).
Can you please tell me what I can do to remove it? I’m trying to make my blog look more like a business site and don’t really want or need that extra stuff. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Should go away if you drag and drop a new Widget into the sidebar – you are probably seeing the default Widgets – they should go away when you add your own Widgets

Well, you’re right — if I put one in, the others that I don’t want go away! BUT… when I take the one I put in out (because I don’t want that either), the original default widgets come back.
Is there some way I can permanently get rid of them?
Thanks.
