Remove myself from administrator

I created a blog a few years ago and am no longer affiliated with the site. I have transferred the site domain to their account, but cannot remove myself as the administrator. Would you be willing to remove me from the blog user list completely from the blog ex-scapes.com your help is much appreiciated!

I need to be removed as administrator from http://exscapes.wordpress.com/ I created the blog 2 years ago and I am no longer affiliated with the site. Please remove me from that site so my ex-girlfriend will leave me alone! I am trying to be as “positive and productive” as possible, but I can’t remove myself and I have been waiting 3 weeks for whoever runs this site to take action…

Thank you, hnsaifi! However, I created the blog and thus cannot just leave the blog or change/delete myself… It must be done by a WordPress employee/administrator… every time I try to delete myself, It says cannot remove this user!

You can transfer the blog to another person (ex?) – the transfer will automatically remove you from the blog –

auxclass, thanks for the post… I actually followed that when I transferred the domain over to the user in May, but for some reason, it still listed me as Admin and now she is bugging me about being removed, want to take care of it asap!

Interesting because I created a blog last week and used those instructions and I was removed from the blog completely – several others in the forum have had the same experience as I did – they however did a typo in the account they transferred the blog to and needed to have the staff retrieve the blog from the unknown account for them – you could always try the instructions again while you wait for the staff to help you –
Was the blog one that you created with your account?
Is there any domain mapping or upgrades on the account? If so they would need to be transferred also I think

I’m trying to delete a blog that I’m not the administrator more and the mouse, when I’m hovering over the links, are not showing the options to delete me as an author. what’s happening with my account? tks. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

You’ll need to transfer the blog to another user, then remove yourself from the blog.

Coffeemanmatt, I had completed the request to transfer the domain, etc. in April from my account to katpolkadot and I thought the transfer would apply to the blog ownership too. I put in the request this morning to be removed from the exscapes.wordpress.com and have the ownership transferred to katpolkadot. Will I be able to remove myself after that transfer or has it been processed yet?

For whatever reason, you were still listed as the owner. I’ve gone ahead and made katpolkadot the owner and removed you from the blog.
If you run into any other problems let me know.
