Remove old domain from search engines
-
I transitioned to a new domain a little while after creating the site up (removing the .wordpress from the URL), and I have since made a number of minor improvements to my search engine optimisation with Google webmaster tools. It has been quite a while since I started using my new domain.
When I search certain terms however I am finding that both of my domains are appearing. This only seems to happen on certain searches though.
I’m finding this on searches such as ‘Arron Barnett website’ in Google.I believe I’m right in saying that 301 redirects are not possible, so is there a way I can sort this problem out and either remove my old domain from the search results or stop it from working?
My website is arronbarnett.com (or arronbarnett.wordpress.com)
