Remove page tab in header
-
I deleted the “contact” page, but the “contact” tab in the header remains and I can’t figure out how to remove it. I want to replace the “contact” page/tab with a “lyrics” page/tab (created but not yet published). Can someone give me clear instructions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks, I tried that. Under Appearances > Menus, I see Pages, but Contact is not listed anywhere (presumably because I already deleted it?), event if I click View All. Any next steps you can suggest?

Yes, I already deleted it from >Pages > All Pages. At that point, the content on the page disappeared, but the page/tab itself remains. It’s really strange.
One thought is to maybe rename the “contact” page “lyrics” if that is possible, and paste new contact in. However, my preference is to get rid of the old page/tab.

If you deleted the page in Pages > All Pages but it still shows in the top nav menu, then you’re already using a custom menu. To delete the tab from the menu, you need to go to Appearance > Menus, as timethief originally said: you don’t delete it from the Pages module, you delete it from the right module on that screen, then click Save Menu. Also make sure that this menu is selected in the Thee Locations pulldown.
