Remove Page Titles for wordpress.com
-
I have read several explanations about removing page titles from pages but they don’t seem to have all the info that I need.
I can’t find info for wordpress.com that works. Can anyone assist me here?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/ and scroll down to f. Tabs for static pages but no page titles on the actual pages
-
Ok I followed the link and added that code,  , into the title area using the suggested code of   and updated the page. All this did was to change the page from About to  . It also added this code into the page where I wanted the page title removed.
Got any other ideas?

The instructions that Panos (justpi) provides are detailed and specific and they do work.
-
You say they work but but I followed the instructions and it didn’t. All it did was change the pages menu name to   as I described earlier, and the pages name that appears at the top of the page which I wish to have removed.
I also tried eliminating the page slug but it could not be changed. I will do this again to my contact page, http://housecleaningtucson.us/contact so you can see what actually happens for me using those directions.

My instructions don’t say edit the page and replace the title with  , they say first modify the label in Appearance > Menus, then edit the page and replace the title with   plus semicolon, then correct the label in Appearance > Menus.

I’m hoping someone can help. I am having the same problem, wanting to remove the title of the page from the top of the page but keep it in the menu.
I followed the instructions above, but it removed the title from both the page and menu. Essentially it changed the page name to a blank space.
My blog name is http://jfanega.wordpress.com/ and I have The Vigilance Theme.
Thanks!

If “it removed the title from both the page and menu”, then you simply replaced the page title with the   plus semicolon. That’s not what my instructions say:
-
But your instructions say:
Go to Pages > All Pages, hover under each page name, click Quick Edit, replace title with (HTML for a space), click Update.
It says to “replace the title”, which is what I did.
I am pretty computer literate and usually manage to find solutions to my WP problems in the forums, but for some reason this one is not working out for me. I appreciate your help!

But that’s step TWO in a THREE-STEP process. I don’t see why you choose to ignore the other two steps.

Visit this demo blog:
http://panosdemos.wordpress.com/
Click “Page with title”, then click “Page with no title” to see what the result would have been if you had done “each step exactly how it was explained”. -
LOL there’s no need to get nasty. Clearly, I know what the end result should look like.
I just tried the same exact instructions with a different page and it worked. (Although in my list of pages, there is no title for that page)Thanks for your help.
