Remove Post Capability from Pages
-
Hi all,
I’m new, as this question will probably show. I simply want to add a couple of static web pages to my site, without the blog post window. I want to add some specifications of a couple of computers side by side on a single page, and I don’t need or want blog posts on the page. I’ve been searching arounds for this but can’t find it. Any/all help appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just write static Pages, not Posts. Simple. You can see the Pages page on your Dashboard.

Thanks for quick response. I am using a Template. Perhaps the post window can’t be removed. Check out: http://surfacert.wordpress.com/about/
I simply want to create a page like this without the post window. When I create a new page, the post window automatically appears when I publish.

Do you mean the Comments form? Just disable comments under Settings->Discussion for future posts, and for existing ones, simply edit them and disable comments under the Write Post box.
