I want to remove 4 posts from wordpress.com that were to be hidden on my self hosted site.

I’m not sure I understand. I do not see any sites under your @anngloverauthor WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? Is it the case that you are you using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Thank you so much for your prompt response to my question.
I had deactivated the jetpack plugin on my self hosted site. I’ve reactivated the plugin. It is my understanding that the plugin replicated the post on my site and adds them to WordPress.com.
I have two posts that I did not want published. I do not find a way to remove them from WordPress.com. https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/109098384 I’m not sure if this link will bring the last four posts. Printable prayer cards, printable promises cards.
I’ve added a plugin to hide these posts on my site. In the future if I don’t want post to be published on WordPress.com, how would I avoid this?

Hi there,
When you connect the Jetpack plugin, your posts (all your posts) are shared to the WordPress.com Reader automatically. There is not a way to block specific posts from being shown there.
As an option we may be able to block ALL posts from anngloverauthor.com so that no content from this site shows up in the Reader. We do not have a specific way to do this but a workaround we can try.
Do you want us to try to block all posts from being shared to the reader? Let us know how you would like to proceed or if you have any questions.

No, I would like the posts to show up on WordPress.com. Is it possible to delete those two posts?
If I deactivate the plugin before I post something then reactivate at a later time would that keep the post from showing up on the site? Or would it eventually populate with the last post?

Oh, there is a third post I do not want on the site. “Let’s Be Email Friends”
I would greatly appreciate it if you are able to block those three posts from the site.

The Reader displays posts based on your site’s RSS feed. So if a post is in the feed, which by default includes all publicly available, published posts on your site, it will appear in the Reader. There is no way from our end, or from within Jetpack, to prevent a specific post from appearing in the Reader.
It might be possible to exclude those posts from your RSS feed, but that’s not something we’re able to help with. Please ask for advice on how to do that in the WordPress.org forums instead at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
If and when those posts are removed from your site’s feed, let us know and we can force a refresh of the Reader feed for your site, which should remove those from the Reader.
But as long as those posts appear in your site’s RSS feed, it will also appear in the Reader.

I was also wondering why the feature image appears twice on most of the posts. Is there something I need to do different to correct this?

Take a screen shot for us of where you see the doubled up featured image. We can compare that to our own view.
I’d also suggest consulting the theme documentation as it could be working as designed.

Thank you so much. I see that it is pulling the feature image and the image from the post. But this one is showing the image 3 times and I’m not sure why.

Interesting. I also noticed that in your site feed here that this is the only post that has this issue. You can see that other posts (including more recent posts) have standard formatting.
Since we are not able to see your site in detail, is there anything about your Press On post that is different? Any settings or formatting on this post that is different from other posts on your site? Did you have an image gallery on this site or use a “gallery format” of some kind in the post settings? Any clues you have here will help, thanks!

could it be because it has 3 categories selected for the post? I couldn’t find anything else that might cause it.

Ahh that is interesting that it has 3 categories. How many categories do “A Consistent Walk” and “Prayer moves the hand that moves the world” use? Do they have only two? What are the names of the categories on each post?
Also, you mentioned previously that you had deactivated Jetpack and then reactivated. To clarify, was this issue with duplicate images occurring in the reader before you deactivated Jetpack initially?
