Remove ‘Powered by WordPress’ on website

  I have removed ‘powered by wordpress’ on my site a couple different times but somehow it keeps popping back up. How come this keeps happening? How do I remove it for good? My site is through wordpress.org so I have the ownership to it (www.theunpublishedlife.com).

  Hi there,

  What methods have you tried to remove the footer credit? You can find several methods online that have been used.

  However, since your site is using the open source WordPress.org software, you need to seek help at these forums:

  Ah thank you for pointing out I’m on the wordpress.com forum and not .org. I’ll repost on that one. I go directly to the footer in the theme files and remove. I also contacted BlueHost support to help and they have also been successful with helping remove.
