Remove Premium Theme

  I’m trying to delete my site but I can’t due to having a premium upgrade.

  Yes, as mentioned on this post https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ to delete a WordPress.com site, you will first have to cancel and remove the Premium theme associated with it.

  As mentioned on this https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/ article, visit this page https://wordpress.com/me/purchases to cancel and remove your Premium theme. If your premium theme cancelation is within 30 days, you will also receive a refund.

  Post that, you can follow the steps on the first link to delete your WordPress.com site. Note that it’s impossible to recover a WordPress.com site once you delete it.

  Thanks @stikebuys. There is no way to remove the Premium theme, as it ‘never expires.’ WordPress staff has to remove it.

  Hi @rjulatum, if we remove the theme for you, you won’t be able to get it back. If you’ll confirm you understand, we’ll go ahead and remove the theme for you, then you can delete the site.

  Also note that if you delete the site, its name will not become available again, so do not use that option to “start over”.
