remove previous posts from showing on the homepage

  I do not want my previous blogs to display on my homepage. I want to keep the page clean with the slider and widgets. How do I remove the function that shows my previous blog posts on the static homepage? Thank you

  You set the number of posts that display on the front page here > Dashboard > Settings > Reading
