remove “published by” on posts
-
I would like to remove the published by information at the bottom of my posts but I cannot seem to find anywhere within wordpress that enabled me to do that, can anyone offer assistance please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have found that if you reduce the characters under my profile then it removes that portion of the information. for example under my publically displayed name is says sjp1966 and that is what appears on the published by area.
if I change this to sjp then that is what appears which seems good, however if I remove it all it displays the full sjp1966.
On another note if I put in a period it says published by . on X date which still isnt ideal.

There is no way to remove that without the paid CSS upgrade and a knowledge of CSS and that has, as you’ve seen, undesireable side effects.
It’s easier to change your theme to one that does not display this information at all.

thanks for the reply raincoaster, I shall take a look at that now. I did manage to change the display name to that of the blog title so at least it looks relevant… kinda.
thanks again
