Remove "published by" text and date from posts
-
Hi, I’m having trouble finding advice about removing the “Published by” author (and bio) and the post date that’s automatically added to the bottom of my posts. Can you help me figure out how to get rid of these? (CSS would be ideal). Thanks!
I’m using the Morden theme and my site is https://jonellepatrick.me
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can try below CSS which will help you to remove, “Published by author name”, post date and author name. Screenshot
.author-bio .author-title, .entry-footer .posted-on, .entry-footer .byline { display: none; }Hope this helps. Let us know here if you have further queries.
Thanks -
Thank you SO MUCH! You’re the best. That worked perfectly (with the addition of one little comma after “.author-bio”)
Here it is with the comma, for others who have this issue:
.author-bio, .author-title, .entry-footer .posted-on, .entry-footer .byline {
display: none;

You are great! Here, (parent element)”.author-bio” includes (children element)”author-description” & “.author-title”. I thought you wanted to hide only “.author-title”. It’s great that you figured it out. :)
However, you can remove “.author-title” from your code as you are using a comma after “.author-bio”(parent-element). So below code will be perfect. :)
.author-bio, .entry-footer .posted-on, .entry-footer .byline { display: none; }Happy blogging.

Perfect in every way! Thank you so much for coming back and helping me even more. I was cursing the new Site Editor and its learning curve until you came along and fixed all the things that were driving me crazy! Many many thanks.
