Remove "Recent Post" footer
-
I have got the custom upgrade for the site and want to remove the footer “Recent Posts”
My site is a generic Church site and not a blog.
I am a novice at CSS and HTML.
Would anyone be able to advise an “easy” fix please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I believe that’s a footer widget. You should be able to wipe out all widgets in that footer by going to your Widgets page on the dashboard and, if you can see the widget, remove it. If you can’t, then put any widget into the footer and take it out again; that wipes out the widgets WP.com has preloaded your blog with.

Presumably you CAN hide it in CSS, but I’m afraid I don’t know how. Maybe staff will weigh in.

The Recent Posts section is there because you have selected the showcase template for your front page: just edit the page and select the default template.
