  How to I remove the “leave a reply” section from my Fruit Shake theme site?

  You can disable the “leave a reply” (comment) section on any of your site’s posts and page by following this guide: Enable and Disable Comments

  Hi rachelmcr,

  I attempted to follow your instructions but there was no “discussion” listed in my screen options which the enable…guide directed me to. I went into “edit” made certain that the discussion box was unchecked and it did not make a difference. I also went into the first page and no “discussion” box was available under the screen options. I really am not sure how to proceed, can you advise please?

  I’d be happy to talk you through the steps to disable the comment section on your site. There are two pieces to this:

  1. You can disable comments on your site by default by going to your discussion settings under Settings > Discussion in your dashboard here:

  Next to “Default article settings,” you can uncheck the third option, “Allow people to post comments on new articles.” This will disable comments by default on new posts and pages that you create.

  2. For the pages already on your site, you can disable comments by first going to Pages > All Pages in your dashboard here:

  You can click on the title of each page where you want to disable comments. Then, click on the “Screen Options” tab in the upper right corner. Make sure the box next to discussion is checked. (This will ensure that the Discussion module appears on the screen so you can change the discussion settings.) It should look something like this:

  Then, scroll down on the page until you see the Discussion module. You can uncheck the box next to “Allow comments” and then click the blue Update button to save your changes.

  Thank you so much for your help, it was so easy and i was close to the solution, i was like 1 click away but just couldn’t quite get there. I SO appreciate your help. i can pretty much guarantee more questions to you all – thank you in advance.
