remove RSS feed for comments on this post.

I want to remove the “RSS feed for comments on this post” that is written at the bottom of my blog. I have the CSS upgrade so can edit it, but i dont know which comments to change. I tried already different things by looking a previous questions in this forum but it didnt work on my theme which is Benevolence.
I want to remove it as it doesnt look good in my website and i dont need it. When i write each page i do uncheck the option that doesnt allow comments but that doesnt take that “RSS feed for comments on this post” remark on each page of mine…. -
Well, you’re going to have to wait until a CSS expert gets here because you don’t get any help on modified templates officially. In the meanwhile, better provide a link to your blog.

desertcandle – are you aware that wordpress.com blogs are not for commercial purposes? Please see the Terms of Service.
-
There’s not div that wraps around the comment section where you could do a ‘display:none;’ There’s a ‘right’ div in there but it’s used elsewhere within the block so it would mess other things up if you did.
I can’t see a way to do it on this theme.
-
hi, its not really commercial purposes, i am making a blog about my candles but not selling online
-
That’s really up to staff to make that call but considering you’re telling folks to email you to purchase, list prices, shipping and ordering information, I’d call it a commerical blog.

hey btw, i thought cuz i paid for domain mapping, that its ok to have whatever site directed, like even if it contains some commercial aspects, am i wrong? now am worried that i shouldnt have had my site in wordpress
-
damn, i had no idea i am violating rules, i honestly thought it was ok, cuz i dont have shopping cart etc. I think i might have got wordpress.com and wordpress.org mixed up and really have to figure out what to do now since i paid wordpress already for domain name mapping

The TOS and wordpress.com policy apply to all wordpress.com hosted blogs. Purchasing a domain and a domain mapping upgrade for blog changes nothing.
There is a no refunds policy stated on the upgrades page.http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
http://wordpress.com/tos/ (see section 2, 5th bullet)All matters relating to these issues must be dealt with by staff. Support is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM – 4 PM and you have a support button on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page that you can use for this purpose.
-
The advertising policy linked to above states:
“A discreet link to your business in the sidebar or an About page is permitted.”There have been bloggers who were allowed to post their rates https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=17976 but each blogger must confirm individually with Mark.
The last sentence in the FAQs entry http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/10/domain-mapping/ states:
“Mapped blogs are still subject to our Terms of Service.” -
Now just so your original issue doesn’t get forgotten I’m posting it again so a css expert can reply to it.
I want to remove the “RSS feed for comments on this post” that is written at the bottom of my blog. I have the CSS upgrade so can edit it, but i dont know which comments to change.

hey yeah sorry about side tracking but i will contact wordpress staff to see what can i do about my blog and if i’m infringing their policies. I wil reread all the policies etc. I kind of misunderstoond thinking if you purchase their services, i could have more info on my candles. I’m not a business though. Just a hobbie.
As for the RSS feed comments, still want to remove it but understand that it might not be possible for this theme i have but will keep the question open incase someone knows the answer. thanks
-
thanks timetheif for posting the other question, i read that your allowed to post your rates, just not do an overkill of it. From what i read its ok to have it on one static page as long as you dont direct traffic outside wordpress, which my blog doesnt do. Your comments have been really helpful. I still will contact the wordpress staff once they are available to make sure all is ok and if i’m allowed to put order info on the site.

First a note about your images. Some of them are too wide for the post area. The image on your main page forces the widgets to go wonky in Safari and move to the top of the page. For benevolence, the maximum image width is 415px: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
Secondly if you had the CSS upgrade, you could make the entire footer disappear by using the following:
html #footer { display:none; }The footer stuff appears to be all coded into the html (which we cannot edit) so you cannot selectively remove parts of it.
I tried this on my test blog and it works.
-
The RSS comment link at the bottom of the post is definitely in the html of the theme – something that cannot be changed here at wordpress.com
