Remove RSS Header field

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

    I’ve got an RSS banner field which I don’t want to display on my pages – how am I able to get it removed?

    Content of this field I haven’t set myself, it appears to be automatically updated. Content is: “Hey there! Thanks for dropping by Reflections & Meta-Cognition! Take a look around and grab the RSS feed to stay updated. See you around!”

    I have a screenshot I’d love to provide ,but I don’t seen an option to send it through.

    Feel free to contact me by email so I can send it through.

    Cheers,

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi tsoukinator, If you have the custom design package, you can add the CSS below and it will remove that header banner.

    #headerbanner {
    	display: none;
    }

    Hello supportmyoffice,

    Thanks for your reply.

    Just letting you know that I have no customisations which I have paid for to my wordpress whatsoever, and have never heard of the “custom design package” until now.

    The only factor I can imagine which has impacted my page is that it was originally transitioned from Windows Live Spaces, which I believe was back in September 2010.

    I remember the “RSS” feed option was something which existed back then, and it appears to have been carried over.

    I was wondering if I could speak to someone who could assist me in removing this part of the page for me.

    What I want to remove is displayed in a red box in the below linked image:

    You will not be able to remove it without the paid Custom Design upgrade.

    Raincoaster is correct, without the custom design upgrade, you won’t be able to remove this banner. It is not there because of the transfer from Live Spaces. It is part of the theme you’ve chosen.

    Thanks, I really liked that theme though.

    At least I know what I have to do now.

    Cheers,
