Remove search box from menu bar
-
Hi again– just logged out of WordPress and accessed my web site again — and it’s all published — no ‘edit’ words in the left column. That’s the trick on that one! Are you getting my entire web site now, without the “Well, this is embarrassing!” notification?
BTW: I’m carefully going through all your tutorials and videos to teach myself the basics and nuances of WordPress. Are there other sites/books you recommend for this? For example, I’ve been trying to figure out how to ‘bookmark’ places on a long story I wrote so you can go to that section easily (I don’t want to break it up into separate pages, just yet.) I couldn’t find info on how to do that. As always, my thanks for your help.

The “edit” link that shows on the pages and posts when you visit your site while logged into your account only shows for you, not for anyone else. You can test that by visiting your site while you are logged out of wordpress. It is a convenience for you.
On places of my heart, what spacing exactly do you want to change?
-
Thanks for the info! It works.
As for “Places of the Heart,” I was trying to tighten up the spacing between lines. I used the code you suggested in CSS Custom Editor –reduced the size from 1.4 to 0.8, but I couldn’t see any difference in the spacing.
At this point — trying to get things up and running–I’m finding workarounds by using Heading 5 (h5) to write in, and it looks OK… just a bit of a pain. You’ve already offered me so much good information that I’m happy to leave things where they are… and bug you later!! Thanks again!

Given that you have done so much formatting of the text, it is kind of hard to help with this one as I can’t see what exactly you want to change.

Yes, and I think in playing around with the formatting I’m reconciled to just having a lot more space between lines than I’m used to.
I do have two more questions, but I’ll keep trying to figure them out and get back to you, if needed. Thanks again for your help!
