Remove sharing buttons from Hemingway-Rewritten theme for GDPR compliance

    Hi everyone,

I have built a blog around the “Hemingway-Rewritten” theme. However I have discovered that it makes requests to graph.facebook.com, which is likely caused by the social sharing buttons under every post. As far as I’m aware, this violates GDPR, as long as no plugins such as Shariff are used. I can gladly live without the sharing buttons. Is there any way to remove them or is my only option to move to another theme? I am on the Premium plan, if that helps.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi there,

To remove the Sharing Buttons, you can do it from here:
My Sites > Sharing > Click on Sharing Buttons tab > Edit visible buttons and click on the buttons to deactivate the sharing buttons.

Let us know how it goes :)

Absolutely fantastic, that was way easier than I thought. Thank you very much!
