Remove Sidebar

  Hey!

  I need help removing my sidebar on my blog page and every post I publish. I would love to only show the sidebar on my home page and have it removed on all my other pages. This way, my posts will be spread out on the entire page, and not squished into the left corner of every page. I have no idea how I can do this in the Lovecraft theme. If you can help me out, I would be very grateful!

  Hi there,

  Thank you for writing to us with your question.

  I tried to play around with this theme and I found a Visibility settings for the Sidebar. Go to the Customizer and click Widgets > Sidebar.

  

  It has some great ‘Show if’ or ‘Hide if’ options.

  

  Let me know if that was helpful or you still need some help with this.

  I just experimented a little with the ‘Show if’ and ‘Hide if’ buttons. It worked to remove every widget from my blog page. However, my blog posts still aren’t centred in the middle of the page. Now I just have an empty sidebar to the right of my posts. DO you have a tip on how to remove this, or centre my blog posts?

  Hi there,

  The theme doesn’t show the blog posts in a centered alignment even without anything on the sidebar. This is hardcoded into the theme and not something that can be changed without using custom CSS code (which requires the WordPress.com Premium plan or higher).

  If you want the post to look centered with no sidebar, you may want to look for a theme that’s one-column (doesn’t have a sidebar). Alternatively, you can upgrade to the WordPress.com Premium plan and we can help with CSS code to center the post area.
