Remove Site from WordPress.com and Link WordPress.com to Live Site
-
I have 2 or 3 sites listed under my profile that no longer apply and need help on how to remove them.
Right now I have 3 sites listed underneath my “Manage My Sites”:
bmoneruiux.wordpress.com
bmoneruiux.com
bmoneruiux.com- I’m trying to remove the 2nd instance of “bmoneruiux.com”. I’ve no idea how that got duplicated.
- My WordPress.com account used to like directly to my website “bmoneruiux.com”, but now it does now. Can I be walked through how to reestablish this link?</ili>
- While writing this, I have the option of an OLD blog/site underneath the “Select the blog you need help with”. I need “http://brandonmoner.me” removed.
Hopefully nothing is screwed up anywhere on my part.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’ve removed the extra WordPress.org site which you mentioned, so you should be good to go as far as that is concerned.
In regards to your WordPress.com site linking over to your WordPress.org site, what exactly do you mean? Did it just automatically redirect to your WordPress.org site when someone visited it? Or did something else happen?
Let me know!

Well when I originally had the domain “http://brandonmoner.me”, I added JetPack, by way also creating a WP.com account, and my WP.com site automatically linked to my actual self-hosted WP site.
I recently had to switch domains (now to “http://bmoneruiux”), and even though I’ve set up JetPack to link with my WP.com…the WP.com no longer automatically links to my self-hosted solution.
…now I see you guys have a monthly service to do this ¬_¬
I hope that’s clear lol.

Hi Brandon,
When you link your self-hosted WordPress.org site (a jetpack site) to a WordPress.com account then a ton of modules get unlocked within the Jetpack plugin itself, however no WordPress.com sites get linked to any WordPress.org sites automatically.
There are a couple of options which can be used to redirect visitors to your WordPress.com site to another domain if that is what you’d like, but you’re correct that they both have an annual fee associated with it.
If you’d like additional information on those options, let me know!
