Why cant I remove unwanted sites from wordpress.com?
It is rather absurd to have to request site removal from wordpress.com. -

If you are referring to site on .wordpress.com sub domains red on please.All blogs are independent websites and deleting one has no impact on any others at all.
To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
